Edwige Avice started her career in the Foreign Trade department at Crédit Lyonnais, and then worked in prospective management in the office of the general manager of Hospitals of Paris. In 1993 she founded La Financière de Brienne, a company investing in SMEs in the strategic high technologies sector, which she managed for twelve years. She also set up and managed Conseil Économique de la Défense for five years.

Equipped with a wealth of experience of public action, as an MP, and then through holding four ministerial functions over nine years (Minister for Youth and Sports, Secretary of State for Defence, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Co-operation and Development), she has proven skills in the field of engineering private-public partnerships on behalf of companies and territorial communities.

She brings to BIPE her experience in the field of developing territories in Europe, in the context of assignments supporting companies and the public authorities focused on improving their competitiveness, attractiveness and capacity to innovate.

A European expert on questions relating to innovation and financing high technologies, she is one of the four French members of the European Professional Chamber. She is also the president of the National Council of Physical and Sports Activities.
